The BLVD Celebrates a Season of Heroes with Santa and Fireworks!

- The Boulevard at the Capital Centre Hosts Tree Lighting Ceremony, Toy Drive and American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes Program -

Meet Santa as he arrives in a horse-drawn carriage to The Boulevard at the Capital Centre (The BLVD) to launch the 2013 holiday season and serve as grand master of the tree lighting ceremony.

Join The BLVD along with the Marines Toys for Tots Foundation and Prince George's County Police Department for a toy collection drive. Area businesses and members of the community are encouraged to bring and donate new, unwrapped toys to benefit children within Prince George's County.

Create or sign a greeting card to support the American Red Cross "Holiday Mail for Heroes" program.

Additional event programming will include:

  • Strolling holiday characters
  • Live musical performances by The Fresh Flights Band
  • "Holiday Mail for Heroes" card signing station
  • Lighting of the Christmas Tree
  • Grand finale with dazzling fireworks!
